I wrote a Screenplay of a short film, Visionary, a romantic-supernatural drama. As I started from the scratch, this helped me understand and experience and learn the process of screenwriting, including things like Beatsheets, Scene-by-Scene breakdown, Character Biographies and Synopsis

For my Senior Secondary Literary Fest, I participated in Script Writing and penned down a script inspired by the Anime / Manga,' A Silent Voice' by Yoshitoki Ōima. I chose this story as it was set in a high school focusing on topics like empathy, communication and bullying. My script was a 14-page script which was appreciated and considered as a contender for the Annual day event.

The requirement was to put up a 20 to 25 minute performance to showcase sufism – it’s mysticism, it’s music, it’s dance, it’s exponents. Me and two of my friends set out to thread the ‘sufism’ into a performance. I was also the key script writer of this performance. Our biggest challenge was to incorporate so much of information in a 20 – 25 min performance. After much discussions – debates – deliberation, we agreed to divide the performance into narrations, music and dances.

This play was an extract from the great Hindu epic Mahabharat – the story of Suryaputra (son of Sun God) Daanveer (benevolent) Karna, the greatest warrior and probably the greatest archer of his time. Kind, benevolent Karna was a man of values and principals. Besides selecting the extracts which were to be performed, the biggest challenge was the dialogues which should reflect the era correctly. To overcome this, we chose to do this play in Hindi.
