About Me
My name is Tanmay Tushar, and I am in my placement year BA (Hons) Film Production & Theatre degree at Brunel University, London. As an aesthetically blessed individual, I have had enriching exposure in working on and off the screen and stage, acting- directing, managing plays/ skits/ performances and events and creating short films and videos. The screen and stage have always been an integral part of my life.

My introduction to Film Production & Theatre began since my school days. Being exposed to both behind and in front of the stage and the camera not only sparked my interest but has also helped me understand and yearn to dive deeper into this world. This led me to follow my passion and work and get trained by eminent artists, TED speakers and acclaimed facilitators from Belgium, Italy, USA and India in the world of Theatre and Film. Being a contemporary artist, I am also the author of a poetry book, “Reveries of My Ink “and have also dabbled into modelling and fashion too.

My Studies at Brunel University have further widened my understanding of Film and Theatre and given me opportunities to take responsibilities beyond performing. I am strongly committed towards Film Making & Theatre.

Volunteer Work

Performance at Old Age Home: Performed skits and dance performances at an old age home, Asha Jeevan, at Bangalore, and brought smiles and entertainment to the inmate senior citizens.

Performance at Orphanage: Performed Playback Theatre and Improv Theatre with Yours Truly team at an NGO for children called, Makalla Jagrithi and an orphanage called Angel's Children Home.

Reap Benefit: Worked with Reap Benefit, a psycho-socio-environmental panacea company to install water-less urinals in government schools and also did some wall art on their bathroom walls. I have also been offered an internship with them.

Samarthanam: Samarthanam is a Trust for Disabled which provides care, education, vocational training and even employment for the blinds. We worked with them to understand their problems and spread awareness about physical disabilities in our school and society. We understood that no disability is limiting till we allow it do so.
